Igloo Leeward 124 qt Marine Cooler - Review - Lone Star Guide
With the new boat came the chance for a new hard sided ice chest, and it was time to try something new. Is it as strong and does it hold ice as long as a Yeti? I really don't know, but what I do know is that the Igloo Leeward does absolutely everything I need an ice chest to do.
Favorite feature:
- Looks cool
- O-ring seal on the lid and keeps ice way longer than I ever need
- Over-sized rubber feet and bumpers keeps it where it should be without a strap
- Also easy to strap down
- Big strong handles
* I cut the excess tail off the straps later
*sticker even matches my boat (but obviously removed)
Specs from the factory:
98 12-oz cans
124 quarts (117 liters)
Weight:
37.73 lbs
17.11 kgs
Exterior Dimensions ( L x W x H ):
35.4" x 19.7" x 20.7"
Interior Dimensions ( L x W x H ):
30.6" x 15.5" x 14.9"
All in all this is a perfect addition to any boat, and fits right at home on my Haynie 23 super cat. Its big enough for off-shore, and still light enough that it's not adding unnecessary weight on the inshore flats boat.
*Didn't I say it looked good too?
